2025 Starting the new year right

 2025

Starting the new year right!

We discovered Chinatown thanks to the help of Lola and Tommy. Lola is a friend to our daughter-in-law, Elly. We found spices and food that we didn't know existed in Argentina. (cream of tarter, ground ginger, coriander, marshmallows and rice krispies to name a few things) We liked it so much that we went back a few days later to get some clams for clam chowder. Their fresh fish market was incredible.

This past week we had a training with the Area Humanitarian missionaries. The Kartchners are in Chile, The Myers in Paraguay and the Taylors and Richardsons work here in the office and cover Argentina and Uruguay. We work closely with the Humanitarian missionaries and we love them very much. Todd and I took them on a field trip to Tigre on Saturday.

Tigre is a delta. It is called "the Venice" of Argentina. To get there we had to take a bus a train and then the water taxi. It was an adventure and we were exhausted by the end of the day.

Our training was in the Institute building which is a converted mansion of a century ago. The woodwork was incredible!

At the end of a day of training the Humanitarian department took us all out to the Boca Stadium. If football is a religion, which it is, then the Boca Stadium is its temple. Todd has actually gone to a football game in that stadium and it was a life changing, or a life threatening experience;)

It's been a great week! We love being here and we love our mission! We're excited to see what 2025 is going to bring.
